Their Opinion Was Wrong
So I was put off listening to the newest Don Caballero album (Punkgasm) because I read somebody's opinion about it somewhere on Internet - that since their guitarist started guitarring for Battles, they've sucked. He went as far to say that the new crap sounds a lot like Isis (if you've heard any Don Cab, you'd know that this is a long way for them to travel, sonically).
Well, I listened to the new stuff. It's awesome. You'd think that since I believe even professional journalists' opinions should be ignored, I'd ignore some anonymous jerk on a forum somewhere.
Nooooooo...
(And as I type this, a riff pops up that could be described as sounding remotely like an Isis phrase...and do you know what? It sounds awesome.)

So, Then...

Been thinking about the reasoning behind the $900 bonuses that the government's been sending out to people.
From what I can tell (work with me - I live in a cave, remember?), the government's trying to get us to stimulate the economy and lessen the blow of the economic recession by buying things*.
But hang on - isn't this issue here because we're running out of resources** anyway?
There's a certain Dr. Tiki quote I can think of now that fits quite well with this hum-dinger. Anyone care to take a stab as to what it is?
Screw that. I was gonna buy things with some money I was saving (hell, I didn't know about this tax-dealie until recently), but I'm not going to now.
*Yes, the last horse has crossed the finish line.
**On an economic and global scale, in case you were asking.
