Here's A List For You To Read:

I will summarise my stupid weekend for people who read this here blog.

1) Friday night - Saw The Cat Empire play on Friday night with Lucas and Tanja. Was quite good. They pull their stuff off live very well. Heaps of people were singing along to their songs, which bugs me a great deal, but I tuned it out as best I could. Proved inspirational to Lucas, who, after seeing their drummer do his thing, decided to start drumming with his wrists, which leads me into

2) Saturday - Lucas, Pete and I had a session on Saturday. Pete's playing was quite good. Not the style I was expecting, although in all honesty, I had no idea what I expected him to play. He's easily able to play stuff that I feed him though, as he's sure as hell better than me. Oh, and here's a thing: We played for at least four hours, which doesn't happen often. Lucas and I usually run out of energy/ideas after the first two/three hours. This was partly because Lucas realised the benefits of drumming with one's wrists: You don't get tired so damned quickly. At any rate, I think I'll definitely see if Pete'll be interested in joining us next week.

3) Saturday night - Lucas, Jane and I saw Zombie Ghost Train play at the Annandale on Saturday night. Only one notable supporting band played prior to them, although I can't remember their name. Lucas? The ska outfit? Anyway, the Train played a kickarse set, as per usual. Also, Jane got drunk (very, VERY drunk), then was kicked out of the venue...then she snuck back in. The less said about that, the better.

4) Sunday - D&D was cancelled on Sunday, so I got a bunch of boring crap done that is even less exciting than what I just blogged about.

How was YOUR weekend?

BASS, BISH!

...in the words of a kickarse shirt Lucas made me for my birthday.

After over four months of on-and-off looking, I've finally found a decent price for the bass I've been looking for. Will probably start hauling in the pennies in the next few days. Should have bass by next weekend, if all goes well.

Also going to have Pete around to jam with Lucas and I. I can finally focus on bass, for once. Here's hoping I can improv well enough with another string instrument...been a while since I've had to do that.

Twice The Minion! Twice The Fridgeness!

I say that it's now twice the minion because Cecil also started helping out shortly after my last post. She'd placed a bid down on my behalf which should have ended already, but I'll have to wait 'till tomorrow to get word on whether it was successful or not...

Yeah. This is lame. The only thing lamer about blogging about buying a fridge on eBay would be...blogging about it twice. In a friggin' row.

MAKE ROOM FOR PEN-PEN!

So I've been at the new place for nearly three weeks and still haven't had the housewarming I've been promising everyone that they'd be invited to. I'm still hunting down a fridge, as I'm getting the impression we may need one for such an event.

I'm hunting one down, with the help of Lucas, my loyal eBay-minion. eBay is a cool place to look for this sort of thing on account of the average price, but they are mainly pick-up only. And they need to be in the right state.

Well, I found one which is in Ashfield and it is relatively new. Hopefully it'll be a successful bid, as the housewarming has been postponed twice already.

When man dies without a son, the living brother shall go to the widow and perform the duty of a brother-in-law to continue the line of the deaceased brother, that his name may not be blotted out from Israel.

Deuteronomy 25:5

...

Well, obviously.
