When I was walking home a few nights ago, I saw a car travel past an intersection where no right turns were permitted, late at night, with no other traffic in sight. Once the car was a few metres past the intersection, it proceeded to make an illegal u-turn, then turn left at the intersection.
I like the way some people can read between the lines to overcome these moral dilemmas.

Hooray! I have now seen the Hitchhiker's Guide THREE times! This time with Ceryn!
The best part was, I still found a few of the jokes funny the third time around.
Ceryn said she liked the film, mostly. I believe that may have been because they included a bunny during the starting sequence.
(not that there's anything wrong with that)

Why???
My application for loyalty.
Loyalty's what I'm applying for,
Been with Insight since the 5th day,
Of the month of May,
In the year 2004.
My technique has improved since starting out,
Selling people numbers in a raffle,
Which can be an interesting challenge to tackle,
It has certainly removed all trace of self-doubt.
As of late, I've not been able to work,
At least, not nearly as much as I'd like,
With my number of commitments, there's been quite a hike,
But here's where I hope to continue to lurk..

I've recently updated Christop's link, it now points to his frequently-updated blog, which you should check out. And just after that snide comment of mine about Lucas never updating Insprite, he's updated it twice! And you might notice that for some stupid reason, the 'comments' links have been pointing to a subdirectory called 's' (thus not really working as they should, since there is no page called 's'). This may explain the lack of comments. Or maybe my lack of popularity does. Either way, it's all fixed!
In Case Anyone Who Reads This Doesn't Already Know...
I saw The Guide for a second time, this time with different (and more) people. I laughed at the same jokes, and some jokes that I didn't laugh at the first time. Isn't that sad?
Also, I may or may not have been involved in balloon-related vandalism that occured on a city-rail train. Ahem.
And in a coles.
And a pizza-hut.
I might post pictures when I get 'em off a certain person who was in no way involved in the events that took place.

A Cultured Night Out: UNSW Med Revue And A Friggin' Huge Bag Of Hot Chips
A few things I've learned over the past few days:
The med students at UNSW have really dumb senses of humour. And should not be allowed to write scripts for anything. Although there were a few exceptions, and it did get better as it went on, the med revue last night sucked. And they just won't quit with the John Howard imitations.
NOTE TO ALL UNI STUDENTS (who happen to be directing/writing or responsible for the jokes that appear in your faculty's revue): ANYONE can imitate John Howard! Get over it! It stopped being funny six months after the guy was first elected. I was still in primary school.
Also, I now am a big fan of Oporto. Don't get me wrong: When we went to get food before the revue started, I looked over what they had. Burgers named after exotic locations in Sydney (well, Bondi), didn't do it for me. Actually, burgers in general, coupled with chips and a drink, were just too complicated for me at that hour. I wanted to eat something simple, but something substantial. My prayers were answered.
I ordered the Jumbo chips for 6 bucks. It's just a friggin' huge bag of chips that took me over half an hour to finish. And it made me oddly popular with everyone.
And today, it's my 1 year anniversary with Insight...
And to celebrate, I'm going to go and brood.
