TICKS-TOCK, BISH!
So I've joined in Gordon's Dark Heresy game and it looks like it'll be a big'un - and I'll be in for teh l0ng hall, as they say. Here's to more wasted hours. I may need to get a copy of the player's handbook, since there seems to be a great deal of useful info in there, but I'd be willing to bet that it'd cost a lot of money. Nothing I couldn't afford normally, but my single-minded goal of setting up a semi-acoustic kit and getting a synth are kinda taking priority.
Not that I'm bothered by the financial issue - there is another limitation that's dancing around in my head like some sort of accordion-playing dwarf - sorry, little person - that's been getting to me.
'Tis time, you see. I'm running out of this wonderful thing. While it's mainly work that's responsible, I've also been spending a lot on tabletop gaming, PC gaming, Wii gaming, recording and reading. I've just recently taken on Dark Heresy when I've also been playing D&D. I've just acquired a book This Is Your Brain On Music (a very brilliant and engaging book - it explores music through neuroscience) that I didn't want to start reading, as I'm also trying to get through Darkly Dreaming Dexter (Dwayne had loaned Dooga the first season of the TV series, which sort of got my interest...unfortunately, reading the book is now not as engaging as it could have been, since I know what's going to happen before it happens. Eat that, Dexter. I'm watching you and your little world from outside your point of awareness in time. I know whodunit. Ha. Ha. Ha. Also, get over the 'I'm not human' emo crap that you keep trying to drill into everyone. It's hardly convincing).
I've now taken on multiple music projects and well and truly shouldn't have time for all of them. I need to learn either the basics to a Cog song or Gyroscope (the Tea Party song) by the time Lucas, Pete and I jam next. I need to write the guitar parts to the songs we've been doing and email them to Pete and hope he reads 'em. I need to work on setting up a Myspace for my other crap (yes, I'm doing it...and - hey! - don't boo me, it isn't polite)
Oh, somethings just occurred to me: I guess all of this stuff piling up isn't so much of an issue. I spend most of my time procrastinating anyway, so I'm mostly to blame.
...
Hooray! Dilemma resolved, sort of! Thank you, blog!
*hugs internet*
