New Place For Loud-Making!

After over three months of on-and-off searching for a new place, an application that Jane and I submitted has been accepted. We're to start moving into a townhouse in Glebe on Sunday. Since we weren't betting on it being this soon, it's going to be at least a week while everything's moved out there.

I'm now figuring out what to do with the car. There's no carspace (although the parking down in that end of glebe is fine) and the kit will be moved out to this place, as there's plenty of room for it.

So...I really don't think I need the car and could probably get some decent money out of it, but now that I seriously consider selling it off, I don't really want to. Who'd have thought I'd have gotten emotionally attached to a boring blue corolla sedan? I didn't think that I was that much of a car person any more.

I'm hoping that the neighbours will be cool with a drumset being in the place. I'll probably take some steps to soundproof it, or at least creatively redirect how the sound leaves the building (read: plugging any windows with a mattress or something). On the plus side, I've ensured that the wall seperating us and our neighbours is solid concrete, not brick, which should hopefully keep a lot of the bass frequencies inside.

We're going to have very little furniture between us to begin with, but...who cares? New place next week! Hurrah!

Comments:
And a place to hold D&D games that gets us out of having creepy huge guys watch us and try to play!

Hooray! I'm going to annoy your neighbours!

sell the car.

throw out the TV.

Cecil: Don't have a TV.

Problem solved :-D

Lucas: I'm serious about the soundproofing. I'll try and get it as quiet as possible. I'm thinking it'll amount to nothing, though - I haven't used 'em yet, but those cymbals you boughtlook like they're pretty damned loud.

Craig: Yeah, but we still have to play with YOU!

Take that causality!
