An Update With Words That Are Not My Own
I'm reading a guitar/bass modding forum. There's a thread somebody started in regards to 'ageing' metal components (tuning heads, knobs etc) on their instrument.
People have generally been suggesting the likes of distilled etchant solution and muriatic acid (often with the smart suggestion of wearing gloves/goggles and ensuring it's applied in a ventilated area), but one suggestion made me snort drink through my nose:
1. Take the hardware off your guitar.
2. Prepare a mixture of sweat, piss, saliva, and sulfuric acid.
3. Take lump hammer and pound the snot out of said hardware.
4. Drop hardware into container. Pour mixture over it. Cover. Let sit eight weeks.
This is beside the point, but I guess I might as well blog about myself for once this year.
Tonight I'll be seeing Catherine, possibly for the last time. She's leaving next week for London. Mixed emotions...
I don't expect that we'll keep in touch.

Comments:
She's playing the Sando, isn't she? My Dad recognised her on the billboard (from the link on our MySpace).
And seriously, dude? I think this move might be a good thing for you. Just a thought.

Oh, at this point it's largely irrelevant. I don't actually miss her, I don't think.
I can easily count on one hand the amount of times I've seen her since last year.
Her reasons for moving bug me a little, but that's something I won't go into here - and I'll certainly not bring it up with her.
